  The study considers the table mix and table assignment problems of restaurants. The objective of the study is to maximize the revenue of restaurants by optimizing the table mix and assignment policy. The new table mix model considering table size factor which is not exactly proportional to the size of the party is developed. A zero-one integer programming model is also developed to get integral numbers. Two experiments are performed. In the first experiment, to evaluate the proposed tablemix, A restaurant"s current tablemix is compared with the proposed w.r.t RevPASH. The results show that in all cases the proposed model is better than A restaurant"s. In the other experiment, two assignment rules are considered to grasp the effects on revenue according to degree of restaurant"s busy rate and various restaurant sizes. The simulation model coded in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 is used to measure the performance of two assignment rules w.r.t RevPASH. 5,400 simulation data are used and test results show that in most cases FCFS rule is better than the matched party size rule.
