한ㆍ중 채소류의 대 일본시장 수출경쟁력 비교 분석

A Comparative Analysis of the Export Competitiveness in Japanese Market for Vegetables of Korea and China

&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of study was to analyze exporting competitive power of Korean and Chinese vegetables in the Japanese market. For the purpose of this study, the six units classification of the Harmonized System(HS) was used to analyse classified vegetables which exported to the Japanese market. Export Bias Index and Market Comparative Advantage Index was selected as an analyzing method. Analyzing period was 1998-2005.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Results indicated that Korean vegetables which gained big exporting concentration in the Japanese market were red peppers, aubergines, cucumbers, tomatoes. Chinese vegetables which gained big exporting concentration in the Japanese market were edible roots, tubers with high starch and/or inulin, vegetable mixtures and lower level vegetable items.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;In addition, MCA analysis showed that the Korean vegetables which secured competitiveness in the Japanese market were cucumbers, aubergines, tomatoes, red peppers. Chinese vegetables which secured competitiveness in the Japanese market were tubers with high starch and/or inulin, vegetable mixtures and lower level vegetable items.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;In conclusion, in the Japanese market, Korean vegetables have competitive power and exporting concentration on high added value items, Chinese vegetables have competitive power and exporting concentration on lower added value items.
