The Study about the Education of Taixue(太學) in Han Dynasty of China

&nbsp;&nbsp;태학은 한대 최고의 고등교육기관으로 유가경전을 주요 교육내용으로 가르쳤다. 당시, 통치자들은 태학이라는 교육기관을 통해 그들의 권력을 보호하고 백성을 교화시키는데 이용했다. 학생들은 태학에서의 교육을 통해 관리로 진출할 수 있었는데, 이는 자신의 신분을 상승시킬 수 있는 주요한 통로였다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 한 대의 태학이 어떻게 설립되어 운영되고, 태학에서의 교육이 어떻게 이루어졌는지 살펴보았다. 여기서, 한 대 태학의 교육내용을 통해 다음과 같은 사실을 알 수 있다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;첫째, 태학의 교육내용에 있어 유가의 경전을 중시한 점이다. 이는 한 대에 경학교육을 기본내용으로 하는 교육제도가 정식으로 확립되었음을 의미한다. 이를 통해 전례 없는 경학이 흥성하게 되었다. 둘째, 태학에서의 교육과정은 반드시 ‘사법(師法)’과 ‘가법(家法)’을 지켜야 했다. 이는 태학의 교학내용을 기본적으로 안정되게 하기 위한 노력이었다. 셋째, 태학의 평가방법으로 정기적인 시험제도가 있었다. 태학은 서한에서 매년 한번, 동한에 이르러 2년에 한번 시험을 보았다. 시험결과에 따라 서로 다른 관직으로 주었다. 따라서 한 대 태학에서의 가르침은 관리로 나아가는 길이 되었다. 넷째, 태학의 배움은 일정한 수학연한이 없었다. 학생은 시험성적에 의해 졸업할 수 있었다. 비록 시험이 엄격하지 않았지만 시험으로 관직에 나아갈 수 있는 통로가 되어 태학생은 시험을 중시하지 않을 수 없었다. 이러한 제도는 한 태학 교육의 질을 높이는 데 중요한 작용을 하였다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;Taixue(太學) was the system of the highest education in Han Dynasty and the place where the scriptures of a Confucian was taught. Scholar rulers protected their power and civilized people through it. On the other hand. the students of Taixue could advance into a government official by learning this. In this study. how Taixue was established and how education was achieved. Here. through the education contents of Taixue in Han Dynasty I can know following truth.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;First. the scriptures of a Confucian scholar put a premium on the education contents of Taixue. This means that educational system that was base on jingxue education was established formally in Han Dynasty. Through this,&nbsp;&nbsp;unprecedented Chinese classics was grown in prosperity.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Second, course of the education should stick to the shifa (師法) and jiafa (家法) certainly in Taixue. This was effort to stabilize the education contents of Taixue basically.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Third, there was on-time examination system by Teixue’s valuation method. There was this examination system one time a every year in xihan(西漢), it was changed one time a two years in Donghan(東漢). According to test result. the different office was assigned. Thus. Han Dynasty Teixue’s teaching became the way to go forward to government official.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Fourth, there was no limit of the studying period in Taixue. Students graduated according to the result of the school record. Although the test was not rigorous it was passageway that could go forward to the government office. The students couldn&quot;t help according for the examination. Because of this system. Han Dynasty&quot;s Taixue did important action to improve quality of education.
