부안 핵폐기장 유치 반대운동에 나타난 공동체학습 과정의 특성

Traits on the Community Learning Process arising in the movement against constructing radioactive waste facility in Buan

&nbsp;&nbsp;이 연구는 사회운동을 교육학적 관점에서 읽어낼 수 있는 가능성을 탐색하기 위하여 실시되었다. 연구자는 이를 위해 핵폐기장 유치 반대운동에 참여했던 전라북도 부안 주민들의 공동체 차원에서의 학습과정에 대한 질적 사례연구를 수행하였으며 사회운동이 전개됨에 따라 이루어지는 공동체학습의 특성들을 드러내고자 하였다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;반핵공동체를 형성하여 공동체로서의 운동주체로 성장하는 과정 속에서 부안 주민들은 가르침과 배움의 관계의 형성과 확장을 기본 원리로 하는 학습과정을 형성하고 있었다. 이 과정은 의도적이고 계획적인 교육활동을 포함하고 있지만 근본적으로는 참여와 실천을 통한 자연발생적인 과정을 통해 이루어지는 것이었다. 이러한 공동체학습 과정은 사회운동의 독특성과 한계를 동시에 담지하고 있었다. 사회운동에 나타난 공동체학습 과정은 강한 공감영역 위에서 공동의 목적에 기능하는 교육활동과 ‘이론-실천-관계’학습을 통해 발현되는 학습역동에 의해 형성되고 있었으며 이슈 중심의 학습관계를 통해 규범적 탈주지를 생산하고 있었다. 이점에서 사회운동에서 나타난 공동체학습과정은 강한 목적지향성을 갖고 있으나 공감영역이 영원하지 않다는 점에서 ‘제한적 자기완결성’을, 그리고 끊임없는 새로운 학습과정으로 진화하지만 일상압과 같은 부정적인 토양과 맞닥뜨린다는 점에서 ‘불완전한 자기영속성’을 갖는 것이었다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The main concern of this study is to expose the full landscape of learning process appearing in the social movement, and to search the possibility if the area of social movement can be investigated by educational approach. This analyses were conducted on community learning process arising in the resistant movement by people in Buna against constructing radioactive waste facility.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The findings in this study was as following. First, in the center of community learning process, sympathy area was located. Second, teaching activities were integrated functionally by sympathy area. Third, through learning activities animated by people&quot;s voluntary participation and consisting of theory, practice and relation, participants were generating learning dynamics which played a great part in continuing and strengthening community learning process. Fourth, learning relation made around common issue spreaded through voluntary alignment and resonance. Fifth, people as anti-nuclear community&quot;s member were generating contextual knowledge which can be conceptualized normative fugitive knowledge.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Consequently community learning process arising in social movement is the dynamic process to accomplish common objects. This study shows that dynamics of learning process doesn&quot;t come from individual learning or leaders&quot; teaching but total relation of teaching activities&quot; systemic evolution, learning dynamics&quot; manifestation, learning relations&quot;s widening and learning contents&quot; contextualized process.
