This legend originated in the incident which happened at a hill pass called Dal-nae. One day brother and sister were crossing over a hill pass to do farm work. On the way to the field they were caught in a shower. They got wet to the skin. Brother, following his sister, saw her womanly shape through the wet dress which was transparent. He felt the woman in his sister, and he felt a sex urge, which made him embarrassed. He was ashamed of thinking of his sister as a sex object. Driven by shame, he committed suicide.
Catching her brother dead, she cried saying,
“Why didn"t you tell me …?”
No wonder everyone has a sexual desire, but there is no thinking of sex scandals between sibling in the moral aspect. He thought highly of morality rather than life. Moral values are above Life.
The structure of this story is composed of seven motifemes : ①Starting→②Shower→ ③Sex urge→ ④Urge controlling→ ⑤Suicide→⑥Lamentation→⑦Consequense.
