The Reality of a Propitious Site for a Grave and Study of Poongsu40) Unfathered Tales in Daejon

&nbsp;&nbsp;This thesis is about the reality of a propitious site for a grave and study of Poongsu story in Daejon. When it comes to the reality of a propitious site for a grave, I would like to say the materialization of the whole propitious site figure in Daejon. In Daejon, there are 128 kinds of the actual states in Poongsu. According to the theory of the appearance, I divided them into five parties ; In(人), Mool(物), Kum(禽), Su(獸), which means human, a dragon and a snake, a bird, an animal. Except these four parts, the others are the rest.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Talking about Poongsu story, I tried to figure out the meaning and the structure of the each folk tale&quot;s type. The patterns of unfathered tales are the story of acquiring a propitious site for a grave, the story of taking another&quot;s a propitious site, the story of its damage, the story of preserving it, and the story of its history. Based on this, I studied descriptive structures which are in the folk tales. In addition, I tried to show the form and the meaning in the descriptive structure.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;On the basis of this study, I researched the ideality of the scene Poongsu story. I found there are basically ancestor worship and folk belief in Poongsu story which generated in Daejon. And, based on these ideas, I noticed the being of recognition in Poonsu, such as &quot;response and coexistence&quot; and &quot;balanced opposition and adjustment&quot;.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The point above, is the consideration of the reality of Poongsu and the folk tales of Poongsu in the whole part of Daejon. The limitation, however, is that Poongsu has to be studied more deeply and widely, not only for Daejon. For instance, a particular type of a propitious site for a grave should have been treated more concretely in this thesis. I will put this off on the later study.
