밀교정신과 생태문제

The Esoteric buddhism and the Problem of Ecology

&nbsp;&nbsp;오늘날 생태문제에 대한 불교의 이념적 대안으로는 無我의 정신에 입각한 緣起에 대한 자각이라는 가치관으로 요약된다. 그러나 무아의 정신이나 연기의 자각이라는 가치는 누구에게나 쉽게 개방된 것은 아니다. 특히 무아의 정신 속에는 개아의 부정이라는 의미와 함께 개인의 실천적인 면이 소홀해 질 수 있는 여지가 있으며, 상호공존을 위한 구체적인 실천 규범을 발견하기 어렵다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;이런 점에서 밀교정신은 중생의 현실문제의 해결이라는 실천적인 면을 중시하기에 현실에 대한 긍정적인 입장을 지니고 있다. 따라서 無自性을 강조하기 보다는 자아와 전체의 일체감과 동질성을 중시한다는 입장에서 실천적인 의미를 찾을 수 있다. 또한 自他不二의 일체감을 바탕으로 자연과 인간의 신비적인 合一의 체험은 모두에게 개방되어 있다는 점에서 오늘날의 생태문제에 시사하는 바가 있다고 하겠다. 이런 점에 착안하여 대표적인 밀교경전인 『大日經』과 『金剛頂經』에서 法身觀과 曼多羅를 통하여 상호공양의 만다라 생명공동체를 밀교정신에 입각한 생태문제의 해결방안으로 제시하고자 한다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;Today, We can summarize that the buddhist ideological way out of the problems of ecology is to become aware of value of the theory of pratityasamup？da based by the an？tma.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Howevert this is not easy to everybody. It is true that we can not deny that there is a denial to an individual and pay no attention to the side of the practice in the ideology of an？tma. Also It is difficult to find the practical ethics for the mutual benefits in the an？tma theory.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;But the Esoteric buddhism emphasis not an？tma but the unity between an individual and all, because the Esoteric buddhism thinks much of the solution of the actual problems of a man.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;In the respect that the mystic experience of a unity between a man and the nature is open to everybody, the Esoteric buddhism be full of suggestions to the ploblems of the ecology nowaday.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;In this respect, this aticle has suggested the way out of the ploblems of ecology nowaday through the thoughts of Dharmakaya and Ma？？ala of Mah？ vairocana sutra and Mah？-Vajra？ekhara-Sutra, the famous two sutras of the esoteric buddhism.
