유아의 ADHD성향과 유아 및 가족 변인과의 관계

Relationships of Children"s ADHD Tendency with Selected Child and Family Variables

  본 연구는 유아 및 가족 변인들(유아의 성별, 유아의 연령, 어머니의 교육수준, 어머니의 직업유무, 출산시 어머니의 연령, 임신중 어머니의 약물복용, 임신중 어머니의 질병, 임신기간, 출산형태, 유아의 영아기 섭식유형, 형제자매 유무, 가족형태)이 유아의 ADHD성향과 어떤 예측관계를 가지는지 살펴보기 위해 유치원 또는 어린이집에 다니는 유아들의 주양육자를 대상으로 실시된 조사연구이다. 유아의 ADHD성향은 축약형 질문지(Abbreviated Symptom Questionnaire: ASQ)로 그리고 유아 및 가족 변인들은 연구자가 제작한 가정환경 질문지를 통해 측정한 후 중다회귀분석을 사용하여 12개의 유아 및 가족 변인이 유아의 ADHD성향의 예측에 기여하는 정도를 알아보았다. 그 결과 12개의 독립변인이 ADHD성향을 설명해 주는 정도는 8%로 그리고 12개의 독립변인 중 6개의 변인(유아의 성별, 유아의 연령, 어머니의 교육수준, 임신기간, 유아의 영아기 섭식유형, 가족형태)이 ADHD성향 예측에 유의미한 기여를 한 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 독립변인별로 관련 선행연구와 비교하여 논의되었고 향후 관련연구를 위한 몇 가지 제언이 제시되었다.

  This study examined the contributions of 12 variables(child"s gender, child"s age, mother"s education level, mother"s job existence, mother"s age at delivery, mother"s drug use during pregnancy, mother"s disease during pregnancy, period of pregnancy, type of delivery, type of feeding during infancy, sibling existence, type of family) to prediction of ADHD tendency of 1,226 children at age 5 to 7. Child"s ADHD tendency was measured with Abbreviated Symptom Questionnaire and data on 12 independent variables were collected using the questionnaire made by the researchers. The multiple regression analysis revealed a significant predictive relationship with child"s gender, child"s age, mother"s education level, period of pregnancy, type of feeding during infancy, and type of family. The other six independent variables(mother"s job existence, mother"s age at delivery, mother"s drug use during pregnancy, mother"s disease during pregnancy, type of delivery, sibling existence) did not have a significant predictive relationship with child"s ADHD tendency. The results are discussed in relation to previous research, and some considerations for future research are presented.
