전문성 신장을 위한 자격연수의 개선방안 - 특수교사 연수를 중심으로

Making a Qualification Training for Special Teachers Useful to Improve Teachers" Professionalism

  본 연구의 목적은 특수학교 중등 1급 정교사 자격연수에 참여한 교사를 대상으로 질적 연구를 통하여 전문성 신장을 위한 자격연수의 개선방안을 제시하려고 한다. 연구의 대상은 2005년 K대학 부설중등 교육연수원에서 실시된 특수학교 중등 1급 정교사 자격연수 참여한 6명이며 연구방법은 심층면담을 적용하였다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 분석결과는 자격연수의 사전인식 주제는 자격연수의 필요성 공감으로 설정하였고, 자격연수의 과정인식 주제는 현장에 유용한 연수내용 구성 필요, 특수교육현장을 잘 아는 강사 선호, 점수 따기 위한 자격연수, 자격연수 여건 및 제도적 지원 미비로 설정하였다. 자격연수 이후인식 주제는 현장적용 및 전문성 신장에 대한 엇갈린 반응으로 설정하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구는 특수교사 자격연수 실제 모습 분석결과를 통해서 전문성 신장을 위한 자격연수의 개선방안에 대한 결론을 제시하였다.

  This study intended to investigate how we can make a qualification training for special teachers useful to improve teachers" professional capacity. Using in-depth interview of six teachers participated in the training course, we analyzed teachers" perceptions regarding prior perceptions about the training, experiences during the training, later use of training in the classrooms. We found that first most teachers think current qualification training for special teachers needs to be changed in order to make the program more adequate to teaching practices in the school settings. Second, many instructors in the training do not have enough experiences and knowledge about special schools. Third, it is also necessary to improve the facilities of training institutions and financial supports to the trainees. Finally, there are mixed reactions after taking the qualification training. We concludes with suggestions on how to improve qualification training for special teachers.
