&nbsp;&nbsp;본 논문은 7차 교육과정 문학 교과서에 실려 있는 서사이론 중 ‘인물’에 관하여 비판적으로 검토하고 개선의 방향을 모색하는 데 있다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;7차 교육과정 문학 교과서의 인물에 대한 설명은 전체적으로 성격의 의미를 중심으로 서술되어 있다. 그것은 인물의 일반적 의미, 인물의 유형, 인물 제시 방법 그리고 학습 활동 등으로 구성되어 있다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;인물의 일반적 의미나 인물 제시 방법은 큰 문제가 없다. 가장 문제가 되는 것은 인물의 유형에 대한 설명 부분이다. 주요 인물과 부차적 인물은, 서사물에서 인물이 차지하는 비중을 기준으로 구분되는 용어이다. 주동 인물이나 반동 인물은 모두 서사의 사건에서 중요한 역할을 담당하기 때문에 모두 주요 인물에 해당된다. 평면적 인물과 입체적 인물은 성격 변화를 기준으로 구분될 수 없다. 그것은 선택과 배제의 관계가 아니라 좌표적 관계에 놓여 있는 개념이다. 그것은 성격의 단일성과 복합성의 문제이다. 전형적 인물과 개성적 인물에 대한 구분은 편의적 구분으로 보아야 한다. 양자의 관계는 상호 독립적이다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;인물론은 인물과 사건, 인물과 구성, 인물과 구조, 인물과 배경(혹은 환경), 인물과 주제 구현의 문제 등을 고려하여 보다 통합적인 이해가 가능하도록 제시할 필요가 있다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;This thesis is written to study on the study on the character in the literature textbooks of the seventh educational process.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The theory about the character focus on the sense of the character in the literature textbook of the seventh educational process. This is composed with the general sense, the pattern, the expressional method and the practical question. Ultimately the learning should help the student to appreciate the works. But these textbooks have many problem to make the student confused.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The pattern has the most serious problem. The flat character and the round character cannot classify on the change of character. The flat character has a only one persona, but the round character has very many personas. The relations of both are not exclusive but of the polar. And typical character and individual character are the expedient classification. The relations of both are independent.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The theory about the character should get beyond the subject of the character itself. It should become the theory about relations of the character and the plot, the character and the background, the character and subject etc.
