The purposes of this study were to investigate features of formal early childhood education services which were related to mother"s employment status, and to find out whether there were differences in mothers" satisfaction toward early education services and their perception of family well-being. The study also concerned the differences of mothers" perception of family well-being according to the level of satisfaction on early childhood education services. Two hundreds and seventy four working mothers of young children responded to the self - administered questionnaires. SPSS WIN 10.0 was used to analyze the data, employing frequencies, percentile, t-test and ANOVA with Duncan as the ad-hoc test. Study results showed that working mothers preferred full-time daycare services to other types such as half-day program. Safety of children was the utmost concern of mothers. Also, mothers rated their perception of family well-being higher when their satisfaction level of early childhood education services were higher. The results of this study suggest that early childhood education services are important not only for young children"s care and development but also for keeping balance between family life and work life of working mothers" with young children.
