텐서해석의 자동화를 위한 텐서표현식의 단순화 기법을 논의하였다. 모든 텐서표현식을 표준표현으로 단순화시키는 알고리듬을 직접 적용하면 컴퓨터 자원을 과도하게 사용하므로 규칙기반 프로그래밍 기법을 병행하는 것이 효율적임을 논의하였고, 이러한 기법을 Mathematica 시스템에 적용하는 실제 예를 보였다.
We discuss a technique of simplifying tensor expressions for automating the tensor analysis. It is shown that the rule-based programming with the canonicalization is more efficient than the procedural programming that simply canonicalize all tensor expressions. As an example, we implement the technique in the Mathematica computer algebra system.
