Depositional Environments in the Late Quaternary Arctic Ocean

  제4기 지질시대 북극해의 퇴적환경-여러가지 첨단 측정기법의 개발로 인해 제4기 지질시대의 퇴적률이 오랜 과거에 시사되었던 것 보다 훨씨 낮은 퇴적율을 지니고 있었음이 확인되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 사안에 대해 활발히 논의 되었던 의문점에 대해 구체적으로 토의하고, 지질학적 연령측정방법의 새로운 활로에 대해 모색을 시도하였다.

  The evidence of low sedimentation rates in the late quartenary Arctic Ocean is available by means of magnetostratigraphy, palynology, thermoluminiscence, stable isotope, and radioisotope dating. In this paper, I first discuss controvertial aspects of the chronological dating on the Arctic Ocean which prevailed during the mid-1980s and drew conclusions on the validity of results of chronological dating reported during the 1970s thru late 1980s.
