Social-Emotional Characteristics and Stress Coping of Gifted Children

  본 연구는 영재 아동들이 지니는 사회 정서적 특성의 이해를 통해 그들이 자기다움의 독특한 능력과 기능을 향상시키는데 필요한 지원 및 상담 프로그램의 개발에 기여할 수 있는 방안을 제안하고자 하는데 있다. 이를 위해 스트레스 및 대처 행동에 관한 일반적 연구를 살펴본 후, 영재 아동들의 독특한 사회 정서적 특성으로 비롯하는 스트레스 요인과 대처 행동을 검토하였다. 또한 영재 아동들이 직면하는 적응 문제를 바탕으로 그들에게 유익한 대처 행동의 증진과 지원을 위해 필요하다고 여겨지는 상담 프로그램 개발에 도움이 될 수 있는 제안들을 제시했다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study is to suggest a plan to help the development of the support and counseling program for improvement of the gifted children&quot;s unique abilities and skills they have through the understanding of the social- emotional characteristics of them.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;First I observed the general studies on stress and coping behaviors, then examined the factors of stress and coping arised from the gifted children&quot;s the social- emotional characteristics. Finally I suggested the devises to help the gifted children to improve and support the helpful coping behaviors based on the adaptation programs the gifted children are faced.
