The limitations and alternatives of psychometric approaches to creativity test

&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study is to review the problems of psychometric approaches of creativity test and to find alternatives to solve. Fist of all, because the approach Guilford and Torrance proposed, fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration as factors to measure creativity, have several problems related to measurement, this study pointed out and made critics about problems it has. Therefore, this study reviewed the history of psychometric approaches of creativity, approaches to do research on creativity, psycho-metric methods to measure creative processes, creative person, creative products, and creative environment as research areas for creativity. Then, the limitations of psychometric approaches for creativity test were reviewed.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;In conclusion, alternatives to solve these problems were proposed for future research.
