An Improved Artificial Star System For Transfer Robot System
An Improved Artificial Star System For Transfer Robot System
- 10
This study is on improved artificial star system for indoor navigation of transfer robot system. One of the problems of previous artificial star system was its difficulty in recognition accuracy and rates, and the limitation of the number of artificial stars. This problem is solved by new design of artificial stars and enhancing vision recognition capability. Another problem is how to solve an initialization problem when a robot is installed in a new environment. This problem includes decision of distribution of artificial stars as well as recognition of the locations relative to real environment. This initialization problem is first defined in this study and is addressed by the developed framework. These two problems are solved in this study with our transfer robot system of the handicapped, but the technology can be used for most of indoor robots as a cheap solution of indoor navigation problem.
