  This paper presents results in the development of a light-weight, easily portable vision-based eye-gaze tracking device for use in Human Adaptive Mechatronics (HAM). HAM is defined as intelligent mechanical systems that adapt themselves to human skill under various environments, improve human skill, and assist the operation. Estimation of human skill and insight is one of the key points in HAM. Measurement of eye-gaze and its analysis are an effective approach for this aim. In this paper, we mention the development of a two stage pupil center locator based entirely on integer calculations for FPGA-realization of an eye-gaze tracking device.
