중국의 실업문제의 실증분석 - 산업구조 고도화 가설의 검증

An Empirical Analysis of the Unemployment Problem in China: Examination of the Hypothesis of the Change in the Industrial Structure

  본 연구에서는 중국 정부가 추진하고 있는 산업 고도화 전략과 실업문제와의 연관성을 분석하였다. 즉, 제조업의 고도화가 진전될수록 생산 증가에 따른 고용창출 효과가 감소하고, 3차 산업이 잉여인력을 흡수하고 있다는 가설을 검증하고자 하였다. 전국을 대상으로 한 실증분석의 경우, 유의성을 갖는 결과를 도출하기는 했으나 지역이 방대하고, 각 지역마다 산업 환경과 고용구조가 다른 만큼 산업의 고도화가 진전됨에 따라 고용창출효과가 감소하고 있다고 확신할 만한 신뢰도를 갖지 못했다. 그러나, 연안지역을 대상으로 한 실증분석에서는 제조업의 고도화에 따른 고용창출 효과가 전국을 대상으로 한 회귀분석의 결과보다 적음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  This paper exmaines the relationship between unemployment and industrial structure in China, namely whether the change in the industrial structure toward more labor saving industries has been the cause of the rising unemployment. At the national level analysis, the hypothesis was weakly supported, while the analysis with the coastal provinces supports the hypothesis more strongly.
