A Study on the Obstacle Factors against Development of Freight Forwarder in Korea

  Problems encountered by Korean freight forwarders can be seen from the perspective of management structure, marketing activity and plolicy smallness in the organization and capital of the enterprises, lack of professionalism, non-existence of information, unpreparedness for globalization and professional combined transport system from management structure perspective decrease in earnings due to over-competition, rapid increase of uncollected freight and bad debt caused by poor management of shippers, establishment of self-transport system of large enterprises. strengthening of direct transactions of shipping companies with the shippers, unestablished sense of values of employee working for freight forwarders, Incompletion of total service system from marketing activity perspective unprepared support measures for korean enterprises"s advance into foreign countries, lack of social overhead capital and logistics infrastructure installations, lack of being insured for liability insurance, lacking in the legal system for freight forwarder business and policy support and non-permission of freight forwarders" entry into customs clearance work etc from policy and system perspective.
