‘씩’의 범주와 의미

The category and meaning of the "씩"

  This paper aims to examine the category and meaning of "씩" in korea. For a example of pratical uses, this study is based on "the 21C corpus of Sejong". In connection with the class, this study focuses on argument that it is not a suffix but postposition. In general, the susffixes are very highly constrained with regard to the words to which they attach, the scope of integration. By the way, the "씩" doesn"t have the restriction of combination. It can combinate with a phrase, and divide into the preceding form. Accordingly, the "씩" can classify the postposition. In relation to the meaning, the "씩" divides into four description. It means "Individual", "repetition", and "sets" in the syntactic construction. Also, it signifies the fact or situation that is contrary to the judgement of speaker.
