&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of teachers&quot; characteristics and job stress on teacher-child relationship. In a sample of 72 teachers and 360 young children in Chungbuk province, data were analyzed with the method of frequency, percentage, t-test, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The results were as follows:<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;1. According to children&quot;s sex and teachers&quot; job status and marriage status, teacher-child relationships were found significantly different. Teachers perceived more conflict and less intimacy with boys than girls. The teachers in charge single teachers felt less conflict with children.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2. Teacher&quot;s age and career, and job stress on activity with children, work, and administration had significant effect on conflict between teachers and children. Also, teacher&quot;s job stress on activity with children, work, and economy had significant effect on intimacy between teachers and children.
