혈청에서 악성종양검사를 위한 DR-70 EIA kit의 유용성

The Validation of DR-70 EIA kit for the Detection of Malignant Cancer in serum

  Cancers has been grown larger in Korea these days. Cancers isn"t shown any symptoms in most of these cases at early stage, that would be often noticed at late stage after cancer was already grown up. It is strongly necessary to develop a marker which can help early diagnosis to a cancer. Recently, the DR-70 test was developed by AMDL Co. and it has been reported to diagnose 13 different cancers at any stage. DR-70 test adopted an enzyme immunoassay(EIA) using sandwich technique to quantify tumor specific FDPs(fibrin degradation products), as DR-70, which were derived from the proteolysis with proteases produced by cancer cells. In this study, we examined whether the DR-70 test is useful to diagnosis to cancer with 45 cases of cancer and 50 cases of normal healthy samples or not. It has been got concentration of each samples which based on absorbance value of 4 standard substances. The average concentration of normal samples was 0.47 ㎍/㎖ and the average of cancer ones was 1.99 ㎍/㎖. The cases of cancer were shown 4 times higher cncentration compared to the case of normal. Sensitivity and specificity was 87.9% and 92.0%, respectively. According to these results, we expect that DR-70 EIA kit to detect pan-tumer marker will do an important role as tumor screening test with high specificity and sensitivity.
