공립과 사립 유치원의 안전교육에 관한 교사와 학부모 인식 조사

Recognition of teachers and parents on the safety education in kindergartens

&nbsp;&nbsp;The research investigated the recognition of teachers and parents on the safety education for children and that education practiced in kindergarten. Thus the goal of this study is to remove the cause of safety accidents for children in daily life, and to provide the basic data to execute the safety education to prevent such accidents.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The subjects of this study were public and private kindergartens located in Seoul and Kyounggi-do, selected at random, and 378 questionnaires were distributed to 178 teachers and 200 parents. The items of the study tool include; 5 items for general matters, 8 for the recognition, and 8 for the satisfaction.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The main findings of this study were as follows;<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;First, both publish and private kindergartens teachers had a high level of recognition on the safety education for children. Likewise parents of children who were attending public and private kindergartens also showed a high level of recognition of that.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Second, in terms of the degree of satisfaction with kindergarten facilities and their safety, all of the teachers and parents, public or private, showed an average level. This means that they were satisfied with overall safety conditions of institutions on the whole.
