유아교사양성제도에 대한 연구

An Analysis of Early Childhood Teacher Education System

&nbsp;&nbsp;이 연구는 유치원 교사와 보육교사의 자격기준, 유아교사의 양성을 위한 대학의 전공교육과정 및 학과 개설상황 등을 비교 분석하고 문제점을 파악하여 개선방향을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;본 연구의 결과를 요약한다면 보육교사의 양성과 수급과정이 유치원 교사 양성제도보다 열악하게 운영되고 있음을 확인하여 주었다. 유치원 교사와 보육교사의 질을 규정하는 두 유아교사양성제도에 질적 차이가 두드러지므로 유치원과 보육시설 간에 동등한 유아교사의 질과 동질의 영유아교육ㆍ보육을 기대할 수 없다는 결론이다. 따라서 연구자는 유치원과 보육시설의 질적 균등화를 위하여 양질의 유아교사 양성, 수급, 장학지도, 재교육과 처우까지도 포괄하는 ‘유아교사양성을 위한 장기 발전계획’을 교육인 적자원부와 여성가족부가 공동 수립할 것을 제안하였다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study is to analyze the regulation of certification for kindergarten and child-care teacher, and the curriculum of early childhood teacher education programs.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The result of this study is as follows.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;First, The Ministry of Education &amp; Human Resources Development focuses on the university or college education for kindergarten teacher, but the Ministry of Gender Equality &amp; Family focuses on the short term education of training center for child-care teacher.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Second, the major courses for kindergarten teacher education programs is more systematic than child-care teacher education programs. And the goal of kindergarten teacher education programs is to be an early childhood teacher, but the goal of child-care teacher education programs is not only to be an early childhood teacher but also to be a social worker.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Third, the total number of students admission in kindergarten teacher education programs is nine times the number in the child-care teacher education programs. And the students in kindergarten teacher education programs can be child-care teachers, but a few students in the child-care teacher education programs can be kindergarten teachers.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This study suggests that The Ministry of Education &amp; Human Resources Development and The Ministry of Gender Equality &amp; Family should cooperate to make a plan for improvement of early childhood teacher education system.
