Yugoe(幽居) & Tamseung(探勝) : mutual basis for natural beauty

&nbsp;&nbsp;In this thesis, I tried to compare Sansu-Gihaeng Gasa(산수기행가사, 山水紀行歌辭) with Gangho Gasa(강호가사, 江湖歌辭) intending to contemplating about natural beauty of Korean natural poetry. Both of these Gasa(가사, 歌辭 : Korean traditional long type poetry) are in common with each other by the point of natural poetry. But until now most of inquiry about natural beauty was concentrated on Gangho-Gado(강호가도, 江湖歌道). Because most of the East Asian regard natural beauty as result of the contentment with poverty of a recluse. Actually Gangho Gasa arise from Yugoe(유거, 幽居) experience what is staying in quiet place freely. But Sansu-gihaeng Gasa base on Tamseung(탐승, 探勝) experience what is traveling a scenic spot in sequence.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;I suggested that &quot;landscape&quot; would be a basis for aesthetic experience. Next, as a clue for natural beauty, I had attention to representation of nature in work and pursued aesthetic point of Yugoe &amp; Tamseung experience by the landscape analysis. And I came to the following conclusion.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;First of all, from the side of representation of landscape, Tamseung experience incline to dispersed landscape. The separate place preserve peculiar point and relative importance, though all places are reorganized by linking of a spot. So also respective places have aesthetic value particularly. But Yugoe experience tends to unifying the places which are in same quality.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;And then, from the side of expression of feeling, these genres are standing face to face. Yugoe experience reveal graceful attitude and gratification in the course of contentment amid poverty and taking pleasure in doing in an honest way. But Tamseung experience show various feeling liberally following the visual experience.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;However above mentioned opposite things are not head for absolute separation. Natural beauty of Yugoe &amp; Tamseung experience show different aspect, but sometimes two sense of beauty coexist in one work, and most of all, Tamseung experience is never head for a strong emotion or anger. So In the end, Natural beauty of Yugoe &amp; Tamseung experience maintain common things.
