CONTENTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This study examined differences in the primary factor for customers&quot; selection of bank branches according to their locational characteristics. It was executed to give academic and practical helps to banks in planning branch opening, moving, closing and merging as well as establishing marketing strategies to meet customers&quot; demands.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(2) RESEARCH METHOD<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The analysis techniques of this study is composed of factor analysis, Duncan test, ANOVA analysis, Chow test and regression analysis.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(3) RESEARCH RESULTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This study showed that there were differences in the primary factor for customers&quot; selection of bank branches according to the type of self-governing district concerning the number of bank branches - high, middle, and low level.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2. RESULTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;According to the results of analyzing the pattern of customers&quot; selection for bank branches, bank customers regarded accessibility as the most important factor in selecting a branch. Especially the results showed that the effect of accessibility on customers&quot; satisfaction with their use of bank branches was higher in the customers belonging to the type of self-governing district with fewer bank branches than in those to any other type.
