학교기반 영재판별과 연구기반 영재판별에 대한 실증적 분석

Identification of Giftedness on School based versus Research based

&nbsp;&nbsp;본 연구는 학교 영재판별 방법에 의해 선발된 학생들이 영재교육관련 연구에 비추어 영재로 판별 될 수 있는지를 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 학교기반 영재판별과 연구기반 영재판별을 조작적으로 정의하였고 영재학급 두 학급과 일반학급 한 학급을 표집하여 지능, 국어, 수학, 과학, 창의성 자료를 수집하였다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;연구기반 영재는 지능, 국어, 수학, 과학, 창의성이 각각 상위 20%에 속하는 집단으로서, 어떤 한 변인이라도, 규준기준으로 상위 20%안에 포함되지 않는다면 영재가 아닌 것으로 정의하였다. 학교기반 영재는 영재학급에 입급된 경우 영재로 판별하고 일반학급 학생은 영재가 아닌 것으로 구분하였다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;분석결과 학교기반 영재는 지능, 국어, 수학, 과학, 창의성의 평균점수가 상위 10%에 포함되었다. 연구기반 영재가 학교기반 영재에 비하여 평균 점수가 높음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 또한 학교기반 영재의 판별 정확성을 알아보기 위해 교차표를 작성한 결과 학교기반 영재로 분류한 학생의 71%가 연구기반 영재로 분류 될 수 있었다. 따라서 학교기반 영재의 분류 정확성은 71%였다. <BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;연구기반 영재판별에 영향을 미치는 주요 변인이 무엇인가를 알아보기 위하여 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 연구기반 영재판별에는 창의성과 지능이 주요한 영향을 미치지만, 학교기반영재의 경우에는 지능과 창의성이 주요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 학교에서 영재판별 정확성을 높이기 위해서는 창의성과 지능의 판별 가중치를 높여야 할 것이다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;One of the most troubling issues confronting teachers of the gifted is the identification of giftedness. School based identification is usually used methods in school system. The identification process at the classes for the gifted includes the review of the results of ability and achievement tests to place students with high scores. In this research called this methods 'School based identification'. Research based identification process is operational definition on this research. If Intelligence test, Math test, Sci test are same time 20% upper, then research based identification gifted children.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The main research problem of this study were as following :<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;1. Do school based identification, research based identification precisely rate gifted population?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2. What is the main effect of the school based identification, research based identification process?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The participants were 36 gifted children from gifted schools, 42 regular students from the ordinary schools. The obtained data were analyzed in term of descriptive statistics, logistic regression. <BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The results of this study were as follow :<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;First, the effect of intelligence test and creative test are important for identification for gifted child. Second, according to the results, the scores of intelligence test, creative test, standardized test showed higher in gifted group than the general group.
