대학 평생교육사 양성과정 이수자의 학습경험 탐색

Exploring Students" Learning Experiences in the Courses of the Lifelong Educator Development

  평생교육 실천을 주도적으로 이끌어나갈 양질의 전문가 양성은 중요한 과제이며, 이를 위해서 현재 평생교육사 양성과정이 운영되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 현재 우리나라 대학에서 운영되는 평생교육사 양성 교육과정에 참여하고 있는 학생들이 어떤 경험을 하고 있는지 탐색하는 것이다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해서 질적 연구 설계를 하였으며, 4년제 대학에서 운영하고 있는 평생 교육사 양성과정 수업에 참여하고 있는 학생들에 대한 인터뷰 내용을 분석 자료로 삼았다. 분석결과 학생들은 평생교육사 양성 교과를 이수함으로써 평생교육 실천영역에 대한 이해 수준이 높아지고, 자신의 진로목표로 평생교육 전문가를 염두에 두면서 자신의 역할과 정체성을 형성해갔다. 또한 학생들은 평생교육사 자격증 취득자로서 자신이 실무에서 즉각적으로 활용할 수 있는 지식, 기술, 태도 등을 습득할 수 있는 교육내용, 방법에 높은 요구를 가지고 있었다. 그리고 학생들은 교과목 간의 낮은 계열성으로 인하여 각 교과목을 통해서 습득한 교육내용을 평생교육사로서 갖추어야 할 통합적인 역량과 안목을 형성해 가는데 어려움을 경험하였다. 이러한 연구의 결과는 평생교육사 양성 교육과정을 개선, 정비하는데 있어서 학습자의 입장을 이해하고, 고려할 수 있는 자료로서 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;It is important to develop lifelong educators who lead and facilitate a variety of lifelong education practice. The purpose of this study is to explore university students&quot; learning experiences within the courses of the lifelong educator development program. In order to attain this purpose, a generic qualitative research for 10 university students who currently participate in the program is designed.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;As the students become familiar with theories and practices of lifelong education, they become to develop their perspectives on lifelong education practices and enable to suggest their own thoughts. In so doing, they shape and strengthen their identity as lifelong educators. Students also address practical learning needs about knowledge, skills and attitude that can be readily utilized in real world. Such needs and expectations of students are closely related to the nature of the program that certification is endorsed as a result of successful completion. Furthermore, due to the lack of sequence, integrity, and continuity among the courses, students feel difficulty in grasping their roles and desired competence as a lifelong educator.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;These findings can contribute to restructuring the lifelong educator development program by addressing learner&quot;s interests and needs from his or her perspective.
