Consideration on the Changes of System of Land Ownership in Foreign Countries

&nbsp;&nbsp;1. CONTENTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The concept of ownership of land is the basis of the modern civil law. This paper deals with the development of the concept of land ownership in developed countries like the United Kingdom, the USA, France, Germany and Japan in relation with the formation and development of capitalism.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(2) RESEARCH METHODS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Method of study is abreast of theoretical and positive method.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(3) RESEARCH RESULTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This paper deals with how the idea of ownership of land, the foundation of the modern civil law, has developed in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan in conjunction with the formation and development of capitalism. The concept of ownership of land still keeps on changing according to the needs of the times.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2. RESULTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The concept of ownership of land has been influenced by circumstances of the times and changed accordingly, but the notion that the right of ownership can be limited for public interest has not changed in essence since the Roman law through the modern civil law until the present-day law. It is an universal and common notion to the Roman law, the modern civil law and to the present-day law that the right of ownership can be restricted by law for public good.
