A Study on the Scope of Ubiquitous Services Related with Spatial Information - The Focus on the u-city Case Study

CONTENTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study is to analyze the differentiation between ubiquitous and pre-existing cities and establish the scope of ubiquitous services related with spatial information in city.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(2) RESEARCH METHODS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;To develop the scope, related literature has been surveyed and services that can be implemented using spatial data of administration in local governments by employing ubiquitous technology has been analyzed.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;(3) RESEARCH RESULTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;According to the analysis, the following domains has developed ; urban planning (housing, port, facility), transport(transport system), tour (museum, cultural assets, tour information), environment, water supply and drainage, construction and etc.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2. RESULTS<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;To implement ubiquitous services in those domains, it should be considered that we ought to give priority to the common ubiquitous services of facility management concerned with the administration of urban planning and transportation, and should reduce the overlapping investment in every department of all ubiquitous service.
