교ㆍ사대 대학생 및 초ㆍ중등 교사들의 미술용어 인식에 대한 실태 조사 연구

  교사 양성기관인 교육대학교와 사범대학의 미술교육과 수업에서 이론과 실기를 교수할 때 이들 대학에 재학 중인 대학생들에게 주요 용어를 강조하거나 초？중등 미술교과서와 미술과 수업에서 다뤄지는 미술용어에 대한 중요성을 숙지시킬 필요가 있다. 이들 학생들은 차후 초ㆍ중등 교육현장에서 미술과 교수ㆍ학습활동을 통해 초ㆍ중등학생들에게 미술과 미술문화, 미술용어 등을 이해시키고 인식시키는 역할을 한다. 교ㆍ사대 대학생 및 초ㆍ중등 교사들의 미술용어의 활용 실태를 살펴보면 교ㆍ사대 대학생들은 교사 양성기관인 교육대학교와 사범대학의 미술과 교육과정에서 미술용어에 대한 체계적인 교육이 필요하다고 생각하고 있으나 실제 대학교육과정에서 이에 대한 체계적인 교육경험은 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 초ㆍ중등 교사들은 교사 양성기관에서 미술용어의 체계적인 교육이 필요하다고 생각하고 있으나 미술과 교수ㆍ학습 시 미술용어를 활용하는 것은 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 초ㆍ중등 학생들의 미술용어가 일상화되기 위해서는 교사 양성기관에서 미래의 교사인 재학생들에게 미술용어를 이해시키고 학습활동에 적용할 수 있도록 교수ㆍ학습방법에 대한 것들이 제시되어져야 한다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;We have examined how the present condition of art terminology education is using questionnaire survey for college students and elementary and secondary teachers. Whether students learn art terminology properly at school art class, many students respond that they hardly have chance to learn art terminology relating any art activities including art appreciation. Many teachers also respond that they do not intend to teach the art terminology, unless it is pointed out in the art textbooks.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Unfortunately, there is no explanation of key words in art textbook of elementary and secondary schools. From the survey result, we found that many elementary and secondary school teachers want to have key words in art textbook. If the key words are present in art textbooks, it will be helpful for teaching the students. If a teacher recognizes the importance of art terminology, he could use key words in various ways including writing on the board, talking, a hand-out sheet and a game in order to provoke students understanding of art terminology. The awareness of elementary and secondary teachers’ art terminology directly link to the students’ better understanding of art lessons. Students will get more understanding of the art and culture and heritage.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Art terminology is the common words world widely using in visual culture. It is main linguistic tools to understand the art cultural and heritage such as Korean, Asian and world art cultural and heritage. That’s why art terminology so important to understand. Teachers must look for right meanings and symbols and signs of necessary art terminology in order to make students understand the art terminology fully and correctly. If students understand the art terminology more fully, they will develop an interest and understand and communicate the art and cultural heritage and will enjoy it more fully.
