The purpose of this paper is to specify the relations and the conditions for the competitiveness of the consumer market in a fisheries using the spatial competition model and explains why the price for fisheries is much higher at the consumer market than the origin.<BR> Under the monopoly system, we first show that the price gap between the two markets is necessary occurred. And also show if the institutional changes, that is, from monopoly to the competitive systems, are implemented, the price gap is remarkably to be reduced. Second, Introducing the competitive system means that it would be reduced the entry barriers.<BR> In this situation many middlemen or brokers linking the producers and consumers is incentive to enter the market at which they make profit to use their specific fishery informations obtaining the origin markets to distribute the specific consumer"s demand.<BR> As a result, it precedes to the specialization facilitating the fisheries distributional system and furthermore improving the services. Finally, the economic openness makes it more price reducing and the diversity of the items.
