The term of Yoga has very significant practical meanings in Mind-Only school. In this school, Yoga in a broad sense means the correspondence(相應), both of buddhist theories with practices and of practices with those fruits. And Yoga in a narrow sense means ?amatha-vipa?yan?(止觀) which is the best way to the truth of Mind-Only, exactly the philosophical meditation. In this study, we especially give attention to the point that the philosophical meditation and the logical investigation of the teachings of Buddha can be the core of buddhist practices to realize the truth. It is very suggestive to us, whereas Zen school takes too exclusive attitude toward the scriptures. The ascetics in practicing yoga consistently meditate on linguistic insight that the meaning of the word is only fictitious constructions produced by consciousness. In result, they disjoin the word from its meaning and remove the world of words of which the external reality we believe in.
