《장자》의 현대 교육적 해석

&nbsp;&nbsp;현대사회는 과학기술을 기초로 세계화ㆍ정보화ㆍ민주화 등의 특징을 지니고 있다. 이러한 특징을 지닌 현대사회에서는 자신의 정체성을 확립하고, 다양성을 인정하고, 창조적 마인드를 갖출 수 있도록 도와주는 교육을 필요로 한다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;이러한 필요성에 맞춰 본 연구는 그동안 교육적인 측면에서 거의 해석이 이루어지지 않았거나 소극적으로 해석된《장자》의 교육사상에 대해 살펴보았다.《장자》의 교육사상을 살펴볼 수 있는 것으로 불견시비(不譴是非), 무용지용(無用之用), 포정해우(？丁解牛), 내성외왕(內聖外王)을 제시했다.《장자》사상에 비추어 보면, 불견시비에서는 다양성을 인정하는 삶의 태도를 배울 수 있다. 무용지용에서는 창조적 인간상을 키울 수 있기에 이를 창조교육으로, 포정해우를 통해서는 기초교육의 내실을, 이상적 인간상인 내성외왕 사상을 통해서는 전인교육을 생각해 볼 수 있다. 이것은 독립적으로 고유한 의미와 역할을 하지만, 상호 유기적 관계를 유지하면서 그 의미와 기능은《장자》의 현대 교육 사상의 기초를 구성한다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;Today, modern society offers a wealth of information to people, thanks to science and technology development founded on the principles of globalization, democratization, and information development. Still, the nature of modern society necessitates an education that can help individuals build a sense of self, exploit their creativity, and respect diversity while solidifying the grounds for healthy growth.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This study explores the world of 《Zhuangzi(莊子》’s educational philosophy, which has rarely been interpreted -- if ever it has been interpreted at all, even in a passive manner -- from the educational rather than the philosophical perspective. Specifically, four principles summarizing《Zhuangzi》’s educational philosophy？bujianshife(不譴是非), wuyongzhiyong(無用之用), paodingjieniu(？丁解牛), and neishengwaiwang (內聖外王)？have been examined. According to Zhuangzi, bujianshifei teaches an approach to life wherein diversity is accepted and respected. Woyongzhiyong fosters creative minds, whereas Paodingjieniu advocates the reinforcement of primary education. Finally, Neishengwaiwang presents the model of an ideal, virtuous, human. Each of these four principles offers to today’s education system unique guidance toward the path to improvement; note, however, that the unique directions offered by individual principles have been consolidated to form the basis for 《Zhuangzi》’s modern educational philosophy.
