In order to understand the true meaning and continuity shown in Kwon Hwan"s poem, the Utopian concept approach is required. From the Utopian view, his poem is explained to have the following characteristics. First, his poem has the confrontational world view by disclosing the proletarian miserable reality, which reveals the social Utopian view for the ensured hierarchial liberation and economic equality by espousing the social democracy society. Second, according to the worsen international politics due to Japanese militarism since the disorganization of KAPF, his poem reveals the aesthetic Utopian concepts where the freedom of nature, reciprocity between freedom and equality and the spirit of original richness and peace of home towns are internalized. His Utopian concepts are different according to the situations, but same in the nature directed to the ideal society.<BR> Therefore, the Utopian concepts in Kwon Hwan"s poem may be interpreted as the challenge and controversy in response to the historic situations at his time. His limitations are the aesthetic breakdown caused by the enlightenment agitation, but it his poems greatly contributed to the liberation of people.<BR> It is interpreted that his poems contain the real intention of national and social democratic ideology in the point where his Utopian concept has been pursuit of the specific methods to practice the human ideal and desire in response to the Japanese colonial era.
