July 1, 2006, the Jeju island started to the new conceptions of municipal government system, which is becoming the ‘Jeju Special self Governing Province’. The special self governing system is acutely in need of the new style of the local police system.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;In the korea, only the Jeju province’s area is put in force, operation the Local Police system. Within the power of korea Constitutional law, Jeju island is applicate the special law that provide the jeju Local police system.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The Jeju local police which has kept the parallel with national police system, is attached to the Governor of the Jeju Special self Governing Province. This new style of the police system has a many peculiar and unique characters that is different from the any other country’s local police system.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The general power of the Jeju local police agency is limited within the Jeju island area in the geographical standpoint. and in the view of crime investigation, Jeju local police has not a any power of it. The Jeju local police agency without the power of crime investigation could not to accomplish the any police service.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;But the Jeju special law that is functioning an important role like a constitutional law in Jeju island, conferred the crime investigation power on the Jeju local police agency in some restricted boundary crime, which are happened mostly against the special crime law.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Anyway for the purpose of developing the local police system, the boundary of the crime investigation power have to be expand to the all kinds of crime that happened in the local area.
