The ky?: madness of ky?-jyo: madwoman genre, include" SUMIDAGAWA", is from deep love for a husband of children. In other words, it means they cannot control theirselves because they obsess about one certain thinking especially about their husband or children: Saturation of a thing.<BR> It seems like a madness to the audience, but it actually sublimates the losing hope situation because of the obsession of an abject in art.<BR> Sumidagawa is a great work of art about the daily life of common people, but it satisfied the taste of the audience of that period, like the noble or the samurai who seek elegance in simple beauty of Noh, also.
