As reviewed previously, postwar democracy in Oe literary works falls into one of three catagories. First is Simbolism of the emperor of Japan. Oe does express his postwar democracy through a dependent and prideless hero, who is conflicted with democracy. However since most of Japanese have been felt a great of oppression under blood ties of the emperor of Japan, Oe"s irresponsible alternative which makes individuals imaginative looks so unappealing Second is Minority"s Grotesque realism. The minority who have been treated discriminatingly and repressed was described as a paradox regarding majoritarian of democracy, authority, and compromise. Their humorous festival means a clamour of protest to society, and repeated their clamours are people"s positive power from the bottom of their heart. Third is Contradictory experssion of Japan Orientalism. Immature postwar democracy of Japan produces a wrong cosmopolitan outlook, which drives the young to despair and despreession.
