A Study on the FDI Trend of Korean Small Business in China : Focused on the Change of Investment Strategy

&nbsp;&nbsp;China is one of the most important countries that plays very dominant role in Korean economy at present. The personal and economic exchange between two countries is getting larger and larger day by day, since the normalization of diplomatic relationship in 1992.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;After the policy of reform and opening, China has tried to induce the foreign capital to its own country as one of the main resources which can lead its economy to the upper level. At the same time, many Korean small businesses were seeking a better place to manufacture their product in order to reduce the cost. As a result, many Korean small businesses started to invested in China.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Chinese investment environment, however, changes dramatically these days, as Chinese economic situation changes very fast. Furthermore the fact that a lot of global companies poured into China and Chinese local companies acquired competitive power resulted in excessive supply and a drop in profits.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Under the circumstances, Korean small business encountered the obstacle to success of labor-driven investment strategy and the higher possibility of failing in the successful entry of Chinese market.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Therefore, Korean small businesses which aim to invest in China should change their policy from the labor-driven investment strategy to the market-driven investment strategy for their survival.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;On the one hand, they should also try to keep close observation on the change of Chinese investment environment and the policy of Chinese government, and on the other hand, they should keep developing their new technique which can make them to be equipped with high competitive power in chinese market.
