This paper deals with the prophet Noah and his mission in the Quran. After the introduction in the first chapter, it is mentioned about his birth and the circumstances at that time in the second chapter, His mission in the third chapter, the construction of a huge boat known as an Ark and the great flood in the fourth chapter and the conclusion in the last chapter.
He was born after 126 years from the death of Adam. During his time, People had made their own gods and goddesses. They had a Man-god called Wadd and a Woman-goddess called Suwa, lion-god called Yaguth for strength, horse-god Ya"uq for power to ride and fight and eagle-god Nasr for all other kinds of help. So he was sent by Allah as a first messenger with the mission of calling them to worship none other Allah, who has no partner nor equals, and forbidding them from worshipping anything besides Him.
According to the revelation, Noah constructed the ark and the believers embarked in it and the huge flood came. Fountains of waters gushed out of the dry land. Floods of rain poured down from heaven. The sea swelled, drowning everything.
Noah lived for 350 more years and died at the age of 950. His followers did not have any children. So all men and women now living on the earth are said to be the descendants of his three sons, Ham, Sam and Yafes. That is why Noah is known as second Adam.
