  深齋는 經學에 관한 독립적이고 완전한 저서를 남긴 것은 없다. 그러나 그의 문집에 산재한 여러 종류의 저술과 언술에서 그의 경학에 관한 견식과 방향은 충분히 도출할 수 있다. 그 중에「雜識」와「讀易隨記」는 심재가 경학에 관하여 어떠한 관점을 가졌는지를 분명하게 보여주고 있는 자료이다. 따라서 그를 완전한 經學家로 규정하기는 어렵더라도 그를 經學的 학문세계를 가졌던 학자로 볼 수 있을 것이다. 이는 그가 文學과 道學, 그리고 經學을 총체적으로 연구했던 학자임을 뜻한다. 그러므로 심재를 조명하는 기존의 두 가지 시각, 즉 文章家로서 조명하는 시각과 道學者로 조명하는 시각은 수정과 보완이 필요하다. 이 논문 앞의 두 가지 시각에서 포착하지 못한 深齋 曺兢燮의 학문적 실상을 좀 더 유연하고 포괄적인 관점에서 접근해보려는 하나의 제안이다. 深齋처럼 전형적인 중세적 지성을 조명하기 위해서는 그들의 학문이 갖는 포괄적인 특성에 유연하게 접근해야 할 필요가 있기 때문이다. 그런데 심재에게는 특별한 점이 있었다. 그것은 "獨得之妙"의 추구와 "通涉"과 "會通"의 사상적 지향이다.

But we can fully extract his discernment and direction to the learning of Confucian Classics(經學), from many kinds of books and remarks that are scattered sporadically in the collection of Shim-Jae(深齋)&quot;s works.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Among his works,「Jap-Ji(雜識) and「Dok-Yok-Su-Gi(讀易隨記)」 are the adequate materials that can show us Shim-Jae(深齋)&quot;s viewpoint on the learning of Confucian Classics(經學) clearly. Therefore, even though it&quot;s hard to say that Shim-Jae Jo Geung-Seop(深齋 曺兢燮) was the scholar only in the field of the learning of Confucian Classics(經學), we can regard him as the scholar who possessed the learning world of Confucian Classics(經學). This means that he is the scholar who had researched the literature, the learning of Do(道), and the learning of Confucian Classics(經學) on the whole. Therefore, already established, two points of researching Shim-Jae(深齋), need to be modified and complemented more. Two points of researching Shim-Jae(深齋) are like that. The first point is researching him at the point of the writer. The second point is researching him at the point of the scholar who learned Confucian Classics(經學家).<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This thesis is one of the proposal that intends to approach to the real shape of Shim-Jae Jo Geung-Seop(深齋 曺兢燮)&quot;s scholarship at the more pliable and comprehensive point. So that this thesis could complement the already established, two points. In order to study the typical medieval intellectuals, like Shim-Jae Jo Geung-Seop(深齋 曺兢燮), it&quot;s necessary to approach to their inclusive learning features in the soft way.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;There are special aspects in Shim-Jae Jo Geung-Seop(深齋 曺兢燮)&quot;s learning. One is the pursuit in &quot;the Mystery of Self-Acquirement(獨得之妙)&quot;. The other is the thinking aspiration for &quot;the Conciliation(通涉)&quot; and &quot;the Mediation between various scholars&quot; opinions(會通)&quot;.
