&nbsp;&nbsp;This study focuses on F AS and FOB as a flexible instruments to have a span of over 150 years.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;FOB means that the seller fulfills his delivery obligation by placing the goods on board a vessel at a port on the seller&quot;s side. FAS means that the seller fulfills his delivery obligation by placing the goods at a point close enough to the carrying vessel anchoring within reaching range of loading tackle. Therefore both terms are each special meaning, but in practice, distinction between FOB Factory and FCA particularly suitable for multimodal traffic, including roll on-roll off operations by trailers and ferries unrealistic notion in relation to risk and costs passage of goods, responsibility of terminal handling charges between seller and buyer, problem of ship&quot;s rail concept etc, are to become realistic issues.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;A substitution of ship&quot;s rail concept in mystique, new regulation of FOB and FAS for exclusive use in order to facilitate charter trade, pre-agreement between seller and buyer for the terminal handling charges are only alternative in correct situation.
