불환지폐를 둘러싼 우리나라 논쟁의 검토 - 태환과 강제통용력의 의미를 중심으로

An Examination of the Controversies over the Inconvertible Paper Money in Korea

  요즈음 태환이 정지된 지폐를 둘러싼 논쟁이 계속되고 있다. 이 논쟁은 불환지폐의 가치, 그것이 가치를 가지게 되는 근거 그리고 이러한 주장의 근저에 놓여 있는 가치론과 맑스 가치론과의 차이 등을 둘러싸고 전개되고 있다. 이 글은 불환지폐를 둘러싼 논쟁의 근저에 지폐의 가치와 유통에 중요한 영향을 미치는 태환 및 강제통용력에 대한 이해의 방식의 차이가 놓여있다고 판단하고 이 문제를 중심으로 기존논의를 검토하고 있다. 이를 통해 이 글은 김수행(1996)의 주장을 보완하고자 한다.

  Controversies over the inconvertible paper money continue these days. These controversies are centered on the following issues : Does the inconvertible paper money have its value, How can the paper money have value if you insist it has value? Are there any differences between the Marx"s theory of value and those of who participate in the controversies? This paper argues that there lies in the basis of the controversies differences in the understandings of the convertibility and the forced currency and examines controversies after making clear the basic concepts of them. This paper tries to reinforce the paper Soohaeng Kim(1996).
