The classification of lexical complex verbs into several patterns may depend on the lexical characteristics and the relationship with their internal elements. However, ultimately, it is determined by the differences between transitive and intransitive sentences. Prominent differences between the manner structure and the attendant circumstance structure are as follows.<BR> First, the manner structure is focused on movement itself, while the attendant circumstance structure on the purpose of movement and the status of a moving subject.<BR> Second, the manner structure basically consists of [intransitive verb+intransitive verb], and the attendant circumstance structure [transitive verb+intransitive verb].<BR> Third, the manner structure has no limit to a moving subject, while the attendant circumstance structure is limited to personal noun.<BR> On the basis of the differences found in the analysis of the lexical complex verb denoting movement, this study shows that the manner structure and the attendant circumstance structure are two separate categories.
