초등학생의 창의적 사고능력과 창의적 인성에서의 성별차이

Gender Differences in Creative Thinking and Creative Personality among Primary School Students

  본 연구의 목적은 일반아동들이 성별의 차이 없이 동등한 영재교육에의 참여를 위한 기초연구로서 창의적인 사고능력과 창의적 인성에 관하여 성차가 있는지를 알아보는 것이다. 초등학생을 대상으로 TTCT를 사용하여 창의적인 사고능력을 측정하였으며 창의적 인성은 하주현(2001)의 검사지를 사용하였다. 창의적인 사고능력 총점과 하위요인, 창의적 인성의 총점과 하위요인별로 각각 성차가 존재하는지를 알아보고, 이와 함께 성별에 따라 창의적 사고능력과 창의적 인성의 관계와 창의적 사고능력을 창의적 인성이 얼마만큼 설명하는지를 살펴보았다. 결과를 살펴보면 창의적 사고능력 의 총점에서 여학생의 창의적 사고능력이 높게 나타났으며 하위요인 별로 추상성과 정교성이 높은 경향이었다. 또한 창의적 인성요인에서는 총점에서는 성별에 따른 차이가 나타나지 않았으나 하위요인별로 호기심과 유머, 개방성 영역은 남학생이 높았으며, 여학생은 독립성 요인에 있어서 점수가 높게 나타났다. 또한 창의적 인성 요인들이 창의적 사고능력을 설명하는 정도는 남학생의 경우 개방성, 모험심 요인이 창의적 사고능력을 의미있게 설명했으며 여학생의 경우는 상상력 요인이 의미있는 요인으로 나타났다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The main purpose of this study was to investigate the gender difference in creativity in primary school students. For this purpose, the following questions was made.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;1 .Is there any gender difference in the factors of creative thinking and creative personality ?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2. Does boys and girls group makes any difference in the relationship between creative thinking and creative personality?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The subjects of this study were 737 students(male ; 389, female ; 348). The creativity was measured by TTCT and the test of creative personality. TTCT and creative personality questionnaires were given to the boys and girls of forth grades who attended primary schools. The collected data were analyzed by using the 12.0 SPSS program. The data were also tested by using the t-test, correlation and multiple regression.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The results of the study were as follows;<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;1. The tests of mean difference between male and female students revealed that there was significant gender difference in the factors of the creative thinking and personality.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;2. There is also a significant gender difference in the interaction between creative thinking subfactor and creative personality. In addition, the multiple regression analyses demonstrated that the personality factors were the significant predictors of the creative thinking. Finally, limitation of this study and the direction for future research were discussed.
