SIGT 영재언어프로그램이 유아영재의 독해력과 창의성 향상에 미치는 효과

Effects of SIGT Language Program for Gifted Young Children on Reading Comprehension and Creativity

&nbsp;&nbsp;본 연구는 SIGT 영재언어프로그램이 유아영재의 독해력과 창의성 향상에 미치는 효과를 확인하는데 목적이 있다. 따라서 영재로 판별되어 SIGT(S 영재교육연구원)의 영재프로그램에 참여하게 된 만 5세 유아 7명을 연구대상으로 하였으며, 실험집단 사전사후 설계로 2006년 12월 2일에서 2007년 3월 10일까지 주 1회, 50분으로 12주 동안 실험을 실시하였다. 프로그램의 적용 전후에 실시한 사전, 사후검사에서 독해력. 창의성, 창의적 문제해결력을 측정하였으며, 실험집단의 유아영재에게는 12차시에 걸쳐 영재언어프로그램을 적용하였다.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;프로그램의 효과를 검정하기 위해 사전, 사후검사 결과를 Mann-Whitney검정을 통해 비교하였다. 그 결과 SIGT 영재언어프로그램은 유아영재의 독해력과 창의성 향상에 효과적임이 확인되었다. 따라서 앞으로 유아영재들의 독해력과 창의성을 향상시키기 위한 수업에서 SIGT 영재언어프로그램을 활용한다면, 유아영재들의 독해력과 창의적 능력 및 문제해결력을 향상시키는데 효과가 있을 것이다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study was to confirm the effects of the SIGT language program for gifted young children on reading comprehension and creativity.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The participants of this study were 7 gifted young children who were identified as gifted children at SIGT. This study took the form of a pre-post experimental design. The pre-test and post-test both measured reading comprehension ability, individual creativity and creative problem solving ability. The SIGT language gifted program which consisted of 12sessions was adapted for this study. Research data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney statistical method using SPSS 12.0 program.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;The results of this study confirmed the effects of the SIGT language program for gifted young children on reading comprehension and creativity. Therefore, if the SIGT language program for gifted young children is applied to the instruction for improving young gifted children’s reading comprehension, creativity and problem solving ability, it can lead to improvement in these areas.
