테셀레이션의 미술교육적 적용 방안 연구

A Study on the Application of Tessellation to Art Education

  본 연구는 학생들이 일상생활 속의 많은 문양에서 익숙하게 보아왔지만, 지금까지 미술교육에서 거의 간과되어 온 테셀레이션을 보다 효과적으로 적용하기 위한 교수ㆍ학습 프로그램을 개발하여 그 적용방안을 모색하는데 목적을 둔다. 연구의 내용은 우선 테셀레이션의 개념적 측면과 유래 및 그 시지각적 특성을 중심으로 한 테셀레이션에 대한 이해와 테셀레이션의 활용영역에 대한 이론적 고찰이 다루어진다. 그리고 테셀레이션의 미술교육적 적용방안 모색을 위한 교육프로그램의 개발과 현장적용 방안이 모색된다. 연구의 결과는 우선, 미술교육에서 지금까지 생소한 개념인 ‘테셀레이션’을 초등 미술과 교육에서도 적용할 수 있는 기초적 자료를 마련하였고, 현행 미술과 교육내용에서 다루어지고 있는 ‘타일 꾸미기’, ‘포장지 만들기’ 등과 같은 교육활동을 새로운 시각과 관점에서 보다 다양한 방법으로 접근할 수 있는 계기를 마련하였다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;The purpose of this study was to develop a teachingㆍlearning program to be effectively applied to the art education using a tessellation which has been neglected in the art education regardless of the familiarity of its pattern in a daily life.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;It explored the theoretical backgrounds of understanding and utilization of tessellation. focused on its conceptual aspect and visual perceptual characteristics, with regard to the development and practical adaption of educational program using a tessellation, it took 4 steps such as motivation and investigating the constructive principle, understanding the principle and producing with teaching materials, making a creative tessellation, and application to the real world. The methods of survey and observation were employed in order to examine the validity and suitability of the developed program, targeting 5th graders.
