Inquiry of Teaching Lesson Plans for Application to DMZ Regions" Ecology And Culture

  DMZ접경지역의 생태와 우리나라의 분단현실과 통일에 대한 염원을 담은 미술과 학습활동은 학생들에게 생태의 중요성과 활용에 대한 시각을 확장시키며 우리나라의 분단 현실을 일러주고 일깨우는 한 방법이다. 특히 미술활동을 통한 지역 생태의 활용은 서로 어우러져 생활하는 공동체 인식을 심어줄 뿐만 아니라 지역 생태의 중요성을 인식시킨다. 현재 미술과수업에서의 생태와 연계한 평화교육 또는 통일교육에 대한 활동은 거의 전무하다. 지역생태와 평화교육을 수평적구조로 통합하고 아우르는 학습활동을 구안하면서 강원도 양구 해안 지역의 생태를 중심으로 학생들의 흥미와 관심, 참여도를 높이기 위해 신체를 이용한 퍼포먼스, 설치미술 그리고 놀이적인 활동이 되도록 하였으며, 생태를 통한 생명의 중요성을 일깨우고 평화통일에 대한 시각을 열어주는 활동이 되도록 하였다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;Art activities utilizing the DMZ&quot;s ecology and the tragic division of the Korean peninsula with the cherished desire of the whole of the Korean people for peaceful reunification will give students the awareness of Korea&quot;s present condition of only the dividing country in the world.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;We discussed three things in here. First of all, what is the purpose of DMZ and its&quot; strategy. Second, what the ecology means and how we apply community base ecology education to the art lessons. Third, How it affects to the students&quot; ideas and thoughts of their lives. In the lesson plan of art activities, we applied and utilized Yan-Gu, Hea-An regions&quot; ecology and culture which bring the students&quot; understanding of how ecology is important, how ecology and environment is closely connected and influenced to the our lives.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;Unfortunately, there is hardly find any art lessons relating ecology and peace education in elementary and secondary art textbooks. Now days, students need to know how the ecology education and peace education are important in modern society. Our daily life is heavily rely on the environment. And ecology and environment are closely connected each other. Also, we are very much exposed to the technology and machine society that we constantly consume them every day lives.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;We develop the art lessons integrating Yan-GuㆍHea-An region&quot;s ecology and peace education into horizontal frame and groping the teaching lesson plans. We assume that these kind of art activities will promote students&quot; concern and interest how the ecology is important with wishing the peaceful unification of Korean peninsula.
