현대 인체조각에서 드로잉에 관한 연구

A Study on the Drawing in Modern Sculpture of Human Figure

  전통적으로 드로잉은 미술 작품을 제작하기 위한 밑그림 정도로 이해되어 왔으나 현대미술에서는 드로잉이 회화나 조각과 같이 독자적인 예술 분야로 인정되고 있다. 회화와 조각의 특성이 서로 달라 별개의 예술이라면 그 드로잉 역시 다를 것이다. 드로잉은 작품을 제작할 때 시작부터 완성에 이르기까지 중요한 역할을 하므로 조각가의 창작에서 뿐만 아니라 미술교육을 위해서도 그 의미와 기능에 관해 연구할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 먼저 현대 인체조각에서 드로잉의 개념과 의미, 드로잉에서 선의 의미와 기능, 회화와 조각에서 드로잉의 차이에 대해 알아본다. 다음 현대 인체조각가들의 드로잉을 예로 들어 분석하면서 작품 제작과정에서 창작 의도와 이에 따른 드로잉 방법과 활용 등 작품과 드로잉의 관계에 대해 살펴보았다. 그 결과에 따라 인체조각가들의 드로잉이 그들의 창작에서 갖는 의미와 특성과 작품과의 연계성 등을 종합하여 연구 목적에 따른 결론을 도출하고 인체조각에서 드로잉을 할 때 조각가들이 직면하게 되는 문제에 대한 해결과 시사점을 얻고자 하였다.

&nbsp;&nbsp;Drawing is conventionally recognized as a design for art works, while in the contemporary art, it is considered as a undependent field of art such as painting and sculpture. Generally painting and sculpture are recognized as different fields. and the drawings of painting and sculpture is also different. The role of the drawing in sculpture is significant from the beginning to finishing in making art. Therefore, the significance of the drawings in sculpture as well as making art needs to be aware for art educators.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This study firstly examines (1)the concepts and meaning of drawing; (2)the function of the lines in drawing; (3)the differences of the drawings between painting and sculpture. Secondly, it analyzes the drawings made by contemporary sculptors in order to explore with which drawing and how they achieved their aims of creating art. This result of the analysis suggests the solution to problems that many sculptors might have in drawing of human figure. This also give an implication for art education.
