고등학교 영어 쓰기 교육 현황조사 및 영자신문을 활용한 쓰기 지도 방안 연구

&nbsp;&nbsp;This study aims to investigate the actual conditions of teaching and learning English writing at Korean high schools, and to suggest effective lesson plans. To carry out the survey, 56 teachers are asked for opinion on teaching English writing. 69 1st grade students of a high school are asked for their interest and experience in English writing, and the effectiveness of English newspaper and small group activities in learning English writing.<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;This study found that teachers do not teach writing as much as other fields of English. Teachers have difficulty in increasing students&quot; motivation in writing and making them positively get involved in classroom activities. Students tend to have low motivation and little experience in English writing. Students have positive perceptions of the suggested writing lessons through English newspaper and small group activities. Students can get useful writing materials that are interesting and related to their experience from English newspaper. Students can have an opportunity to write with confidence by performing group tasks and get direct feedback from peers as well.
